On the Road with The American Boychoir

The American Boychoir Travels to the Czech Republic
The American Boychoir departs on June 30^th for the Czech Republic to participate in the
2^nd International Boys and Men's Choral Festival. This outstanding festival includes concerts with world-renowned conductors and choirs, as well as solo and massed concerts in the historic churches and theatres of Central Europe, including the famous Dvorák Hall in the Rudolfinum, Prague. The American Boychoir Alumni Chorus under the musical direction of James Litton will also be performing in the festival.

The American Boychoir performed in the North American premier of Paul McCartney’s fourth classical recording – Ecce Cor Meum (Behold My Heart) on November 14th, at Carnegie Hall. The four movement work for chorus and orchestra was performed by Kate Royal soprano, The Orchestra of St. Luke’s, Concert Chorale of New York and The American Boychoir. The conductor was Gavin Greenaway. The American Boychoir was chosen to perform because their rich sound and purity of voice most closely matched the vision of the composer. Sir Paul was so impressed with the boys at rehearsal, that he asked them to sing more of the program than was originally planned.
